NSA Team Drop Out Policy:

         NSA understands that teams have to drop out of tournaments at times

         NSA allows teams to drop out of tournaments by Tuesday night at midnight the week of the tournament with no penalty.

         Any team that drops out on Wednesday before midnight will be fined.$50.00. This fine must be paid before the team can play in another NSA event.  If a team does this a 2nd time in a 12 month period they will be placed on pre-pay for a period of 12 months. Revised Friday March 28, 2008


Teams that drop out after Wednesday night at midnight and drop out before Thursday night at midnight will be fined $100.00. This fine must be paid before the team cn play in another NSA event. If a team does this a 2nd time in a 12 month period they will be placed on a pre-pay for a period of 12 months.  Revised Friday March 28, 2008.

  • Teams that drop out of a tournament after Thursday night at midnight the week of the tournament will be required to pay the full entry fee before playing in another NSA event.

         If for some reason a team drops out and there is a replacement team, the fine will be reduced  to $25.00 for Wednesday drop outs and $75.00 for Thursday drop outs.  Revised Friday March 28, 2008

         If teams drop anytime after Wednesday and they enter into a tournament with another association, the team will be suspended and they will have to pay the full entry fee to the director before playing in another NSA event. This portion will not be posted to the State website but will be closely monitored

         A $30.00 fee will be charged to any team writing a bad check.

         Any team that writes a 2nd bad check will be placed on a pre-pay for a period of 3 months that could extend into another calendar year if it occurs near the end of the season.

         Any team that does not make good on a bad check or stops payment on a bad check, the head coach and all players will be suspended from NSA until the matter is cleared up to the satisfaction of NSA.

 

Drop our policy on Pre-Pay Tournaments:

         Sweet 16 Tournaments and College Showcase Tournaments -These are special tournaments that work best with the required number of teams. If teams drop out and a team takes their place and participates, they will receive a 100% refund. Teams can drop out 15 days prior to these events and receive a full refund.  After 14 days or less teams that drop out of these tournaments will not receive a refund unless a paid team on the waiting list participates. Revised February 1, 2008.

         State Tournament - The brackets are drawn for the State Tournament 7 days in advance. If the tournament starts on Friday the brackets will be drawn the previous Friday. Teams will receive 100% refund if they drop before the brackets are drawn.  $100 fee if withdraw between Friday and Monday.  No refunds after.

         Exceptions to above - There may be rare exceptions to the above policy such as fatalities or other very adverse circumstances. The State Director will have the final decision on “exception cases”.


Penalty For Paying Tournament Entry Fee With A BAD Check.

  1. There will be a $30.00 NSF fee.

  2. Teams that do not make good for the Bad Check (All of the players that are on the team roster will not be eligible to play on any team in a NSA tournament until the matter has been taken care of.
