Laurinburg welcomes NSA back to the new
Scotland County Recreation Complex

Press release: March 14, 2008
The National Softball Association will return to the new Scotland County Recreation Complex located in the Sandhills of North Carolina in 2008.  NSA opened the complex in the Fall of 2007 with its first amateur sporting event.  This partnership is a combination of the Scotland County Parks and Recreation Department, the Scotland County Tourism Development Authority, and the North Carolina National Softball Association.   Located just off of Highway 501 in Laurinburg, the new multi-million dollar facility is convenient to hotels, shopping and restaurants.  This complex will serve as a central location where teams from South Carolina can travel north to take on the competition of the North Carolina fastpitch program.  SCRC is also convenient to teams in Eastern North Carolina as well as Western North Carolina.  The complex offers four beautiful fields, a water splash park, modern day playground equipment, picnic shelters with charcoal grills and much, much more!
